David Carr summed it up all in a column in NYT about CNN's coverage of the Boston bombings. He hit the nail on the head for CNN fans.
That said, later this week the ratings for April 2013 will be released and it's safe to say that a major news story lifts CNN up in the ratings, The ratings for Friday will be very interesting. The networks also covered the breaking news along with the cable channels. CNN will likely edge out MSNBC for # 2. Things are really getting interesting at 8 with Anderson Cooper and Chris Hayes. Before the Boston bombings it was already getting closer with 360 and All In. May should be interesting when it comes to ratings for 360 and All In. 360 will likely edge out All In at 8 in viewers/demo. Now that the story has come close to resolution the ratings will drop this week. Get ready for the press releases.
Will 360 top All In this week for the next 3 days. After that it's on to May 2013 and the launch of George Strombo on Friday nights. What time will Strombo be on CNN and who will be on the premiere episode ? It will be interesting to see the guests.
