Glad to see Frank Sesno hosting this Sunday. I do wish he was chosen as permanent host. Much more professional.

I agree - Sesno is much more thoughtful and professional. Stelter is a gossip peddler. I guess that is the new standard at CNN.

Bob Schieffer did a wonderful retrospective on the Kennedy assassination for CBS this Friday.
It was just enough, not lengthy and it didn't dwell on the forensic issue of where the bullets or bullet entered and exited the President's skull.
Interesting that Robert Kennedy, the then Attorney General, snubbed LBJ just after Johnson took the Oath of Office aboard Air Force One, to become Commander in Chief. If I remember correctly, "Bobby" was not well liked in the Washington establishment.
Considering the circumstances, LBJ proved to be a much stronger President than we ever imagined.

If you guys get the chance please read the article from Jay Rosen about a brand news venture is leaving Press Think for, it's called NewsCo. He makes some interesting comments the CNN should take to heart. Firstly, you can't do niche news anymore because today's news consumers are different and have lots of different interests. It will cover sports, business, technology, entertainment and anything that consumers demand. They get it . It's all about the content. Now the AJA plan makes sense both mention investigative journalism They both get that in today's world you have to have it all for viewers and news consumers. For it's own survival CNN has to pivot away from trying to make all news political. People just want the news content not the ideology or opinion. You have to have news content. All weeklong TV NEWSER says it will be highlighting the ambitious plans that AJA has in mind. This is exactly what CNN should have done.
Make your network the only source for news content that covers it al. CNN is using an outdated model. News has to evolve and revolutionize. The worry for CNN is that AJA is going to launch this plan at the beginning of 2014. CNN has so many problems going into 2014. Americans consume a lot of news content beyond what you see in cable news, which is politically centered. Get rid of the pundits. Focus on your viewers/customers. In the end these are the people you need. Viewers are certainly more essential than talking heads. I doubt if CNN can compete with the resources of AJA. has 12 bureaus in the United States an are looking to expand in more cities around the country. No other news organization has this , that is how you are able to deliver an unbelievable a news content for viewers. the plan is simple : just turn the TV on the network and it has all of the news content viewers will need. You have the power in your remote. It's vital to deliver the best and most content for news consumers.

Does it surprise anyone that 1 of the people CNN
has not had to come on to talk about Toronto mayor
Rob Ford is Strombo ? Hello, Toronto is his city.
AJAM is news on another level. CNN does not
come close.CNN has abandoned news. So that
means CNN is no longer a real news channel.
It's smart business for AJAM to exploit a glaring
weakness of CNN, FNC,MSNBC, ABC, CBS & NBC
called limited resources. Asia and Africa are
becoming important continents that Americans
need more news about and CNN won't do this.
