Congratulation to John King and Dana Bash on the birth of their son, Jonah Frank King, on Tuesday afternoon. John sent this email to friends and co-workers:


We are ecstatic to announce the birth of Jonah Frank King.
Our amazing son is named for two of our heroes; my mom, Joan King, and Dana's grandfather, Frank Weinman.
Unlike either of his parents, Jonah beat his deadline. By two weeks no less.
But he is a healthy, happy six pounds 14 ounces with a strong grip and a passion for the Red Sox.
Dana is doing great. Speechless at times. But healthy and overjoyed at our miracle.

Jessica Yellin to Replace Ed Henry

CNN Names Jessica Yellin Chief White House Correspondent

Jessica Yellin will join CNN’s White House unit, it was announced today by Sam Feist, Washington bureau chief and senior vice president. Yellin begins her new assignment as chief White House correspondent immediately.
“Jessica Yellin has emerged as one of the leading political reporters in Washington, ” said Feist. “Jessica’s assertiveness along with her clever insight made her one of the top reporters of the 2008 campaign and has already set her apart in her reporting on the 2012 campaign. We’re thrilled Jessica will now bring her outstanding political journalism to our White House coverage.”
“This is a dream assignment,” said Yellin. “I’m honored CNN is putting its faith in me and humbled by the responsibility of covering the White House during these challenging times—and as we head into an election. CNN is the ONLY U.S. television network in Yemen at this time. This is ahead of Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh reportedly making his first media appearance some time in the next 48 hours, since being seriously wounded in an attack on a mosque in his compound in June. Sr. Intl Correspondent Nic Robertson (@nicrobertsoncnn) and Mohammed Jamjoom (@jamjoomcnn) are in Sanaa, Yemen.

Arwa Damon (@arwacnn) and Hala Gorani (@halagorani) have been reporting live from inside Syria since last week.

Actress and anti-sex trafficking activist Demi Moore partners with the CNN Freedom Project to shine a light on the shocking trade of human life in Nepal. As a special contributor to the CNN Freedom Project, Moore joins up with 2010 CNN Hero of the Year Anuradha Koirala and her organization, Maiti Nepal, which has rescued more than 12,000 stolen Nepalese women and young girls from sex trafficking since 1993. Nepal’s Stolen Children follows Moore as she spends time in the Maiti Nepal shelter, hearing emotional first-hand accounts from dozens of girls who had been trafficked. Moore is a passionate advocate for victims of human trafficking and through her organization, DNA Foundation, she is outspoken about the need to address and attack the demand side of sex trafficking.
