BLACK IN AMERICA: THE NEW PROMISED LAND – SILICON VALLEY – 8:00PM, 11:00PM, and 2:00AM
While much of the country struggles to emerge from a recession, California’s Silicon Valley is booming, and technology companies like Facebook, Skype, and Apple are seeing their valuations soar. CNN’s Soledad O’Brien profiles a unique technology-focused “accelerator” – a collaborative of African-American start-up founders with Internet-based businesses developed to help diversify the technology sector. Eight participants – strangers – lived together for nine weeks in a modest, three-bedroom house in Mountain View, CA, were mentored, worked on their business proposals, and pitched for venture capital funding. Viewers see their journey, learn who secured funding to develop their Web-based companies – and who is still waiting.

HOMS: A CITY UNDER SIEGE – Airs 10:30PM – 11:00PM
Bombs rain down on residential neighborhoods. Snipers shoot at those who dare to leave their homes. Bodies lay in the streets, as women, children, even medical crews are killed. This is how activists describe the scene in what’s being called the capital of the Syrian uprising. Homs, Syria’s third-largest city, has suffered the worst of the violence that has left more than 6,000 people dead since the uprising and government crackdown began almost a year ago. And residents say it’s getting worse. Many are risking their lives to show the world how their city is suffering, by sharing video of the violence that has grown in intensity over the past week. Distressing images and remarkable voices bear witness to the deteriorating situation and the escalating atrocities. Through the voices of those who are living it, CNN tells the story of one week in Homs: a city under siege.

I'm just a bit confused. Usually on primary/caucus nights, coverage goes past midnight. Last Saturday at the Nevada Caucus, coverage went past midnight. Why is the Maine Caucus coverage ending at 8PM? Isn't that the time polls close? It's not even a primary, so we won't know who won at 8PM sharp, it could take a while for the results to process for them to even make a projection. Can anyone explain to me?
