The New American Morning?

Like former Chicago WMAQ-Channel 5 news anchors Robin Meade and Don Lemon, Zoraida Sambolin is headed to CNN. Sambolin, anchor of NBC 5 News Today, is leaving the NBC-owned station after nine years to join CNN in New York. Sources at the network said she’s been hired as one of the anchor replacements for American Morning. Rumor has it that AM will be shorten from it's current 4 hours to 2 two hour blocks. Past host Soledad O’Brien (who previously co-hosted American Morning from 2003 to 2007) and ABC’s Ashleigh Banfield also have been mentioned as anchors of the new shows.

Tuesday's Vegas Republican Debate Prep

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has posted an article about the prep and the behind the scenes action for tomorrow night's Republican debate, moderated by Anderson Cooper, on CNN.

At the first CNN presidential debate this campaign season, 5-foot-2 Michele Bachmann asked for a height-raising block to stand on behind the lectern . Her request was granted and then all the other candidates seeking equal treatment got risers, too, even 6-foot-2 Mitt Romney.

Now, it's the same setup every time.

The candidates also each get a bottle of water, paper and pen. And before the debate begins each contender, one by one, stands separately on stage to test the lighting, to find out how a suit or tie appears on camera and to ensure there's a direct-line view of a spouse sitting in the audience.

"They want to feel comfortable," said Keith Thornhill, CNN's project manager for the debate.

CNN’s Joe Johns draws upon recently released FBI and Justice Department documents to tell the story of the mysterious 2001 bioterrorism poisonings that killed five people and sickened 17 more. Threatening letters – using jihadist language – were enclosed with anthrax and mailed to media organizations and the U.S. Capitol shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks upon the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Weaving together interviews with people central to the investigation, Johns follows the trail of evidence revealing where authorities missed important clues, wrongly focused on an innocent man, and ultimately built a case against a civilian scientist working in a U.S. Military laboratory. Since the suspect committed suicide and the government’s case was built upon circumstantial evidence, doubts linger about his guilt – ten years after the anthrax attacks.

“Too many kids have died already; too many kids are living in fear. At AC360 we decided to look into the problem by sponsoring an extensive study of bullying in one school to better understand the dynamics “said Cooper “what we learned by focusing on one school was eye opening. The problem of bullying is far more complex than it is often portrayed, and while there are no easy solutions, we’ve learned some things that lead me to believe that with enough attention, we can make life better for kids”
Bullying: It Stops here, An Anderson Cooper Special Report will feature guests including actor and bullying prevention activist Jane Lynch , psychologist and talk-show host Dr. Phil McGraw; who has testified before Congress about bullying prevention, talk show host and mother of three Kelly Ripa, and Rosalind Wiseman; best-selling author “Queen Bees and Wannabees”. Beginning October 10, Anderson Cooper 360° will air a week-long series which will move the conversation forward with solution oriented, original research that will help families and educators to better understand this serious problem impacting children. A CNN Bromance

It seems Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer are involved in a bit of a bromance. First we caught wind of it was on the season finale of Hot in Cleveland.
To set the scene for the clip; Betty White's character is looking for a sign from her dead husband that she has his approval to get married again. She hears an owl in the tree and wonders if that's the sign. Valerie Bertinelli's character offers to take a closer look for her...

Then just last week Anderson Cooper interviewed Joy Behar on HLN and the conversation turned to Wolf's abilities in bed. If you missed it here's the clip.

Anderson even managed to work Wolf into Nancy Grace's wardrobe malfunction on DWTS. Here's The Ridiculist.

And we'll close with the classic 'who the hell is Wolf?':
